Here’s what:

Next Tuesday will be the final class for this semester’s Creative Writing: Process & Practice at Front Range Community College. My students have amazed me with their enthusiasm and talent. This week we critiqued their work and everyone agreed that the hard work was well rewarded. These are adult learners with busy lives who managed to write regularly. I am very proud of them.

Next Monday will be the final class for the Poetry Lab at the Lafayette Public Library, sponsored by Lafayette’s Cultural Arts Council. It’s been tight to squeeze in all the issues that pop up for people polishing their poetry skills, but we’ve had a wonderful time and look forward very much to the November 4th Finale, a free public reading at the library, where the participants will each read new work, along with guest poets Seth, and Colorado Poet Laureate, David Mason. All the blurbs are in for the second edition of Red Goddess Poems, which I hope to have up on Amazon by next week. Thanks to all the beta readers from Gamuts, my weekly critique group, and to the four fine people who read and responded with blurbs: Diane Wakoski, Dan Manzanares, Delta Donohue, and Robert P. Beveridge.

Then there’s progress to report on the novel: It’s been dormant, and finally I had to break it down into single-chapter files in order to do the final edits. It’s almost ready for the cover design and a final read by an outside editor. Then I hope to publish it as an ebook by the end of the year.

In addition to all of this, I have an interview with a new individual  coaching contact next week, and I continue to work with my other developing writers. Not to mention a weekly new poem or revision for the Gamuts. Life is good.
